Role overview
Join the Python Infrastructure team as a technical lead responsible for foundational software used by applications across the firm.
The team builds and maintains Python infrastructure supporting critical day-to-day activities.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain Python infrastructure for analytic computations, data storage, and data services.
- Create efficient storage and retrieval systems, high-performance data structures, and data analysis tools.
- Support parallel programming and effective use of the firm's computing grid in Python.
- Build server infrastructure for teams to create web servers.
- Develop unit testing and documentation infrastructure in Python.
- Optimize core libraries using lower-level languages and AOT/JIT compilation techniques.
Basic qualifications
- 4 to 6 years of robust experience in advanced Python.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, design, problem-solving, analytical, reasoning, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- An engineering degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
