CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to join our Gas Team in Hartford, CT , supporting critical natural gas infrastructure projects that strengthen grid resiliency and advance energy system reliability. In this role, you will lead sophisticated engineering efforts, collaborate across disciplines, and provide technical guidance that helps deliver safe, compliant, and forward-thinking gas solutions for our clients and communities.
Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for gas infrastructure projects
Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in critical gas systems
Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting reliable and cost-effective gas solutions
Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff
Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering required
Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
Experience with structural inspections, report writing, and developing cost proposals for structural work preferred
Proven ability to develop structural solutions to unique utility attachment issues preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license required; NBIS certificate is a plus
Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
