Role Overview
SSOE is seeking a structural designer to collaborate with designers, engineering teams, and project managers on complex structural designs.
The role develops solutions using current design methodologies while meeting specifications and project schedules.
The position supports global engineering and project management teams on selected projects.
Structural Design Responsibilities
- Develop complete structural drawing packages from design start through IFC.
- Model and draft complex steel and concrete structures using AutoCAD 2D and Revit 3D.
- Collect source information to prepare accurate and complete models and drawings.
- Analyze sketches and notes to plan drawing preparation.
- Verify dimensions and identify interference between elements.
- Provide technical support and teach methods to less experienced designers.
- Visit project sites to verify field conditions and provide onsite support when required.
- Travel to SSOE facilities for coordination and training when required.
Work Timings
- Work eight hours with a split schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight to overlap with USA teams.
