JPMorganChase is hiring a Lead Software Engineer within the Commercial and Investment Bank's Credit Technology team.
The team builds real-time and end-of-day Risk and PnL platforms for bonds, loans, credit derivatives, exotics, and related products.
The role delivers secure, resilient, low-latency, scalable services for front-office risk, trading, and management reporting workflows.
Responsibilities
- Build real-time Risk and PnL systems supporting credit products and risk calculations.
- Design low-latency, high-throughput services with clear SLAs, observability, and operational readiness.
- Develop distributed microservices and event-driven pipelines using market, trade, and reference data.
- Produce risk measures and serve APIs and user interface consumers.
- Drive approved AI-assisted engineering practices and validation standards across the team.
- Own technical design while managing dependencies, data contracts, schema evolution, and failure modes.
- Apply testing, performance profiling, capacity planning, resiliency, and secure coding practices.
- Lead incident triage, root-cause analysis, runbooks, automated recovery, and reliability improvements.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and deliver iteratively.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to code reviews, and improve architecture and engineering standards.
