Role Overview
The Lead Software Engineer will work within Securities Services Technology in JPMorganChase's Commercial & Investment Bank.
The role is part of an agile team delivering trusted, secure, stable, and scalable technology products.
The engineer will act as a core technical contributor across multiple technical areas and business functions.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute software design, development, and technical troubleshooting solutions.
- Develop secure production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices and consistent validation standards.
- Use software development life cycle tools and automation capabilities to improve delivery and operational outcomes.
- Automate recurring issue remediation and improve software application stability.
- Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Proficiency in backend technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, or Node.js with microservices experience.
