Lead full stack software engineering work within Capital One's Enterprise Platforms Technology organization.
Drive technology transformation by building solutions that address business and regulatory needs.

What you'll do
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers working on distributed microservices and full stack systems.
- Stay current with technology trends, experiment with new technologies, and participate in technology communities.
- Mentor other members of the engineering community.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions.
- Use Java, HTML/CSS, Python, relational and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 1 year of cloud computing experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Seven or more years of experience in Java or Python.
- Two or more years of API design, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure experience, with AWS preferred.
- Four or more years of experience with open source frameworks.
- Two or more years of experience with Agile practices.
- Experience using interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.
Compensation
- For work performed in McLean, Virginia, the annual salary range is $197,300 to $225,100.
- The role may also include performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses or long-term incentives.
