Role Overview
Capital One is seeking a Lead Software Engineer focused on full-stack software engineering with Python and AWS.
The role supports complex business problems through collaborative, iterative delivery and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers working with distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Create solutions that help meet regulatory needs and deliver customer-facing financial experiences.
- Mentor engineers and participate in internal and external technology communities.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Use JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Stay current with technology trends and experiment with new technologies.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience is required, excluding internship experience.
- At least 1 year of cloud computing experience is required.
