Role Overview
Capital One is seeking Lead Software Engineers who enjoy building technology solutions, solving complex business problems, and working in a collaborative, iterative delivery environment.
The role offers the opportunity to lead technology transformation and build solutions that combine data with emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers working with distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Create solutions that meet regulatory needs and deliver robust cloud-based experiences.
- Stay current with technology trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in technology communities, and mentor engineers.
- Collaborate with digital product managers on customer-focused technology solutions.
- Use JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, open source relational and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least four years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least one year of experience with cloud computing, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or another cloud service.
