Fitch Ratings is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for its global Ratings Technology team in Toronto.

The position supports ratings workflow and analytical applications and influences technical architecture and organizational direction.
Work Environment
- The role can work from Fitch offices in London, Manchester, or Toronto with hybrid flexibility.
- The position partners with product, analytics, technology, and engineering teams.
We'll Count on You To
- Define technical vision and design robust, scalable full-stack applications using Python and React.
- Guide architectural decisions, establish technical standards, and identify high-value AI and automation opportunities.
- Partner with product managers, analysts, and senior stakeholders as a trusted technical advisor.
- Mentor engineers across teams and facilitate technical discussions.
- Create and evaluate proofs of concept and promote responsible AI adoption.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, conduct architecture reviews, and solve performance and scalability challenges.
