Lead Software Engineer - Frontend Engineering - React Native

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship features.
• Create clean, efficient, reusable code and conduct thorough application testing.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain smooth application functionality.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and provide progress updates.
• Mentor junior developers through guidance, best practices, and code reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes and workflows.
• Promote authorized AI-assisted engineering practices with secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and output validation.
• Use software development lifecycle tools and authorized AI-assisted automation capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in JavaScript concepts with advanced professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and ES6+ syntax.
• Ability to write clean, testable JavaScript code and familiarity with unit testing.
• Ability to work in a dynamic agile environment with a geographically distributed team.
• Ability to focus on promptly addressing customer needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency, and security expectations.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with React framework.
• Experience building React Native applications with TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Native Android or iOS development using Kotlin or Swift.
• Understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Detox, Appium, WebdriverIO, or Playwright.
• Experience with responsive design, performance optimization, design systems, and component libraries.
