In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

Work with the Global Engineering team and technical leads to perform FEA on valve components, assemblies with the goal to provide design and development recommendations.

The simulation is giving guidance how to reduce weight of components and assemblies.

Lead the problem identified in a design phase and provide solution using simulation.

Define and implement appropriate simulation strategies to solve engineering problems, including design exploration, Design of Experiments (DoE), sensitivity studies, optimization, and regression-based analyses.

Should be familiar with ASME section VIII div. 2 part 5 (Design by Analysis)

Conduct linear and nonlinear structural analyses, including:

Static stress analysis

Transient structural and thermal analysis

Low and High cycle Fatigue and life assessment

Thermal stress analysis

Contact and sealing simulations

Wear analysis

Evaluate valve performance under high pressure, temperature, and corrosive environments.

Perform fluid-structure interaction (FSI) or support CFD–FEA coupling for flow-induced stresses and vibrations.

Should have understanding of APDL and Ansys ACT

Leverage the AI to automate the repetitive tasks in simulation

Provide recommendations for improving:

Structural integrity

Sealing performance

Manufacturability

Cost efficiency

Support product development from concept to validation

Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards such as:

ASME (e.g., Section VIII, B16 series)

API (e.g., API 6D, API 600, API 602)

ISO and PED requirements

Conduct analyses for pressure boundary qualification and safety factors.

Correlate simulation results with experimental data (pressure tests, burst tests, fatigue testing).

Support root cause analysis (RCA) for field failures and non-conformances.

Develop and maintain simulation validation methodologies

Owns project delivery, schedule, resources, and customer expectations

Capability development as the need may be during project execution

Should possess experience in advanced material modelling, including Hyperelasticity, Viscoplasticity, plasticity, cyclic plasticity, and other nonlinear constitutive material models as applicable

Who You Are

You consistently deliver results by translating complex technical challenges into practical solutions and maintaining focus on organizational objectives.

You build collaborative relationships across diverse teams and leverage different perspectives to achieve the best outcomes.

You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, making sound decisions based on analysis and engineering judgment, and adapting approaches when new information becomes available.

You actively seek opportunities to improve processes, embrace innovation, and use emerging technologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and business value.

For This Role, You Will Need

Proven experience of using FEA tools like Ansys, Abaqus

Develop scripts or automation to improve simulation efficiency

Knowledge of international standards for pressure equipment, such as ASME, API, EN, ISO (PED), BS valve standards

Excellent working experience in CAD software, such as Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks

Knowledge and experience in design for manufacturability using machining processes is essential, with experience in casting design considered an advantage

Strong knowledge of solid mechanics and material behaviour, nonlinear analysis, fatigue and fracture mechanics

Strong communication skills

Must be well organized, detail oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Willingness to work outside traditional work hours to interact with supporting locations globally

Able to optimize simulation for Speed & accuracy by selecting relevant domains, materials, analysis, solver etc

Works with test engineer closely to increase accuracy of his models and root causes failures and proposes solutions.

Minimum Educational Requirements

Advanced degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering discipline

English fluent – verbal and writing, any additional language is a plus

Minimum Work Experience Required

Min. of 8 years related FEA experience with min. of 3 years in the area of industrial valves

Experience in matrix organization with skip level reporting

Experience working with remote/global teams
