Role overview
Lead reliability, scalability, security, and performance for critical Disney Experiences platforms supporting guest-facing and commerce applications.
Serve as a seasoned subject matter expert and technical lead across cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure environments.
Guide engineers and help ensure digital and physical experiences remain highly available, secure, and resilient.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable, maintainable, and secure infrastructure and platforms, including cloud-native and container-based solutions.
- Lead DevOps and SRE practices covering CI/CD, infrastructure automation, telemetry, observability, monitoring, and incident response.
- Own reliability strategies, define SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs, and drive improvements in uptime and performance.
- Lead root-cause analysis, major incident response, retrospectives, and remediation planning for distributed systems.
- Develop automation, scripts, and Infrastructure as Code to standardize deployments and reduce operational toil.
- Coordinate capacity, configuration, security, metrics, reporting, recovery, and migration strategies with partner teams.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical direction, and coordinate platform-oriented projects.
- Apply FinOps practices including governance, tagging, rightsizing, and cloud usage analysis.
