Role overview
Lead reliability, scalability, security, and performance for critical Disney Experiences platforms supporting digital and physical guest experiences.
Serve as a subject matter expert and technical lead for assigned platforms and services.
Guide engineers, set technical direction, and support highly available, resilient, and cost-effective systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable cloud-native, container-based, and hybrid infrastructure for mission-critical commerce and guest-facing applications.
- Lead DevOps and SRE practices covering CI/CD, automation, telemetry, observability, and incident response.
- Define reliability strategies, SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for assigned products and platforms.
- Lead root-cause analysis, major incident response, retrospectives, and remediation planning.
- Develop automation, scripts, and Infrastructure as Code for standardized deployments and complex environments.
- Coordinate capacity, monitoring, configuration, security, recovery, and migration strategies with partner teams.
- Mentor engineers and provide continuous coaching, feedback, and technical direction.
- Apply FinOps, governance, tagging, rightsizing, and usage analysis to optimize cloud costs.
