Job Description
Lead estimating, cost planning, tendering, bid preparation, value engineering, and pre-contract commercial activities across luxury residential developments and turnkey construction projects.
Ensure tenders are accurately priced, commercially competitive, technically compliant, and aligned with profitability objectives.
Success is measured through estimate accuracy, tender success rates, commercial risk management, value engineering effectiveness, and contribution to business growth.
Cost Estimation and Bid Preparation
- Prepare detailed project cost estimates and develop cost breakdown structures.
- Review project scope and technical requirements.
- Price labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and preliminaries.
- Prepare direct and indirect cost estimates.
- Develop tender pricing strategies.
- Review estimate accuracy and completeness.
- Support management during final bid reviews.
- Ensure tenders are commercially competitive and financially viable.
- Maintain profitability targets during tender preparation.
Quantity Take-Off and BOQ Management
- Conduct quantity take-offs.
- Review and validate bills of quantities.
- Verify quantities against drawings and specifications.
- Identify quantity discrepancies.
- Review consultant-issued bills of quantities.
- Coordinate with technical teams on quantity clarifications.
- Maintain quantity audit trails.
- Ensure accountability for all project components.
- Support preparation of revised bills of quantities when required.
Experience
