Conduct threat-driven security analysis of systems and environments.
Analyse threat intelligence to identify system-specific cyber threats and risks.
Monitor security events and investigate potential security incidents.
Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks .
Analyse security vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation solutions.
Review existing security controls and identify potential weaknesses.
Develop procedures for monitoring and analysing security information and events.
Support the planning and execution of test and evaluation activities for systems and products.
Work closely with technical teams and security leadership to strengthen security posture.
Provide technical support and advice to security leadership as required.
Demonstrated experience working within a Security Operations Centre (SOC) as a Security Analyst.
Strong hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security .
Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms.
Experience with Network Detection and Response (NDR) platforms.
Experience with Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) platforms.
Strong understanding of threat analysis, security monitoring, vulnerability assessment and incident response.
Knowledge of Australian Government information security policies, the ASD Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential Eight is desirable.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a highly security-focused environment.
