Job Purpose (1-2 Lines): This position requires the person to independently perform routine histopathology techniques including sectioning, embedding, grossing, and H&E staining with high precision and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities: • Independently perform routine histopathology techniques including sectioning, embedding, grossing, and H&E staining with high precision and adherence to quality standards. • Execute monoplex chromogenic automated IHC assays with full compliance to internal standardization guidelines and ensure consistency in results. • Operate and maintain automated laboratory equipment (Autostainer, cover slippers, digital scanners) as per Work Instructions, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting as needed. • Manage digital workflows by scanning slides accurately using digital slide scanners, labeling, and maintaining a comprehensive whole-slide image repository. • Perform and support advanced cell culture techniques independently, ensuring sterility and accuracy in experimental setups. • After initial orientation by senior image analysts, independently build robust, specific, and validated algorithms for quantitative image analysis to support research and diagnostic workflows. • Maintain meticulous documentation of all laboratory processes, including electronic lab notebooks (ELN), and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. • Oversee reagent inventory and slides/block management, including tracking inflow, re-embedding blocks when required, monitoring reagent expiry, and maintaining accurate consumption records. • Contribute to SOP and Work Instruction development and periodic reviews, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with best practices. • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, fostering knowledge-sharing and operational excellence. • Perform additional laboratory duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and ownership of tasks.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s/ Master’s in biology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry or Equivalent degree in Lifesciences

Technical/functional Skills: (Maximum 4-6 Points) • Experienced in design and development of monoplex IHC assays • Experience in working on diverse IHC Autostainer instruments and troubleshooting • Experience with routine histopathological techniques is required. • Experience in handling digital scanners and use of digital pathology software platforms. • Having worked with preclinical and clinical samples will be a plus • Experience of working in a regulated laboratory setting (CAP/NABL or other GxP environment) is good to have.

Behavioral Skills: • Ensure completion of experiments and generate accurate and reproducible data from experiments. • Good oral and written communication and presentation skills to work in a multi-disciplinary team
