Your Role

at KIK

The Lead Press Operator 1st Shift 05:00 am – 1:30 pm – Monday – Friday with some weekends per business need operates high-speed tablet press equipment and owns the production run from setup through completion.

This position operates in a chemical manufacturing environment and requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hazardous material handling procedures, and company safety policies.

This position has a base starting hourly rate of $25.50 per hour.

What You’ll Do

Operate high-speed tablet press equipment for scheduled production runs.

Monitor output against specification and act when the process drifts.

Coordinate with the Forklift Operator on the handling and distribution of materials for each tableting run.

Complete production, quality, material weights, usage data, and inventory documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate appropriately.

Follow all safety procedures regarding hazardous chemicals, personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout, and emergency response.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.

Assist other Operators as needed.

Perform other duties and assignments as directed by supervisor.

What You’ll Bring

High school diploma or GED required.

Previous operator experience (Preferred).

Manufacturing or production experience (Preferred).

Tablet press or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience (Preferred).

Experience

operating pill press equipment (Preferred).

Experience

in a regulated manufacturing environment (Preferred).

Experience

with filling lines or powder processing (Preferred).

Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to understand and follow directions, established procedures, work rules, and company standards.

Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and respond to call-outs as required to support continuous manufacturing operations.

Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment, including a Tyvek suit, for extended periods.

Capable of wearing an SCBA or negative-pressure respirator.

Ability to perform basic math calculations and complete production records.

Strong attention to detail and quality.

Ability to work safely around chemicals and manufacturing equipment.

Must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a functional capacity assessment and drug screening.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently.

Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions.

Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity levels, and manufacturing environments.

Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.
