Role overview
NOV is seeking a Lead Planning Engineer for EPC projects across the MENA region.
The role focuses on project planning, scheduling, and project controls for oil and gas process equipment projects.
The position reports to the Operations Director and supports project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Planning and scheduling
- Ensure project delivery aligns with client schedule requirements and priorities.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures and detailed schedules for engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction.
- Coordinate schedules with clients, project teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Facilitate planning workshops and schedule review meetings.
- Update schedules using actual progress and prepare completion forecasts.
- Identify schedule risks and develop recovery and mitigation plans.
- Assess scope changes and approved variations and rebaseline schedules when required.
Project controls and reporting
- Establish progress measurement and reporting requirements with project managers and clients.
- Prepare weekly, biweekly, and monthly progress reports, progress curves, performance metrics, forecasts, and KPIs.
