Join JLL as a Building Engineer and play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of complex building systems while leading a high-performing maintenance team. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in building engineering while developing leadership skills in a dynamic, client-focused environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining state-of-the-art building systems, managing preventive maintenance programs, and fostering a culture of operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Maintain and update CMMS information for all building operating systems, ensuring accurate documentation and work order tracking
Oversee successful operation of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Life Safety systems
Execute and delegate preventive maintenance services for building equipment and systems
Manage online service requests with professionalism, efficiency, and minimal client disruption
Respond to emergencies and support after-hours building operations as needed
Oversee installation of new and replacement equipment
Maintain detailed inventory of parts and equipment, ordering replacements proactively
Provide operational recommendations including Operating Expense Projects and process improvements to Chief Engineer and/or Site Manager
Lead, develop, and support a professional maintenance team, fostering teamwork and performance excellence
Deliver comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training to direct reports
Participate in individual performance management and personal development planning for team members
Interact with customers maintaining a positive demeanor and focus on satisfaction
Act as a JLL ambassador, embodying core values of Teamwork, Ethics, and Excellence

Minimum five (5) years of technical experience in building engineering with strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment
Demonstrated expertise in equipment repair, maintenance, and overall system design and application
Universal CFC recovery certification (EPA 608)
Proven leadership and staff management experience
Strong commitment to compliance with Federal, State, County, and City Ordinances, Codes, and Laws
Experience with JLL "Engineering Services Compliance Program" or similar compliance frameworks
Proficiency in CMMS platforms and information technology tools
Experience managing service request systems and work order platforms

Willingness to attend periodic training seminars on and off site
Washington State 06A electrical license
Schedule includes flexibility for earlier start times to perform preventative maintenance tasks before daily operations begin. Role includes participation in an on-call/emergency response rotation for reactive repairs.
