Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional hardware PCB design Engineer as Principal Engineer to join our IDC SSE team in Bangalore.

Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.

Responsibilities

Writing Functional Specifications.
Selecting and Qualifying Board Level Components.
Schematic Capture.
Working closely with PCB Layout (CAD) engineers for high speed PCB design.
Overseeing and specifying PCB fabrication.
Working closely with Contract Manufacturer (CM) during all builds, from proto through production lab bringup and debug.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed below.

Must be a team player, with a demonstrated experience technically influencing others.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related field plus 8 years of industry work experience.

• Minimum Required Qualifications

8 plus years of experience in writing specifications and drawing schematics for high complexity boards.
8 plus years of experience working closely with CAD designers on complicated layout and routing by providing routing constraints.
8 plus years of experience working closely with Software engineers for bring-up and debug.
8 plus years of experience and knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity concepts such as impedance, differential routing, insertion loss, board stack-ups.
8 plus years of experience in FPGA design and System Simulation using Verilog
Experience with lab equipment, especially high-speed oscilloscopes.
Experience writing lab automation scripts
Must be a team player and work well with other lab engineers and circuit/logic/system designers.
Understanding of high speed interface concepts, including signal integrity.
Working knowledge of test and measurement equipment, troubleshooting and debugging.
Knowledge processor / memory system architecture.
