Lead MTS Firmware Engineering

The Firmware Engineer will engage in the complete embedded firmware development lifecycle.

The goal is to create a robust and optimized firmware for SOC.

The candidate needs to be deeply hands-on and capable of self-guidance and technical leadership.

The individual will be expected to interact extensively in a tight team environment with employees in other disciplines and geographies.

• Design and implement firmware on ARM processor based embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
• Continually develop and enhance firmware architecture and related methodologies/flow
• Develop, test, debug source code in C for pre-silicon as well as post-silicon
• Interface with other teams (analog, digital and application engineering)
• Interact with the application engineering team to solve issues faced by customers

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering with Software experience
• 8+ years’ experience in developing and debugging embedded software written in C for ARM Cortex processors is preferred
• Candidates with 10+ years of overall experience will be considered
• Proven SW/FW architecture skills showing a deep understanding of embedded systems and micro-processors
• Well-versed in using and setting up ARM toolchains and debuggers
• Familiar with bare metal programming techniques, interrupt handlers and concurrency
• Proficient in writing code for CPU and memory constrained environments.
