Responsibilities
- Run and manage day to day business operations of Property, Engineering & Casualty underwriting.
- Lead a team of Underwriting Managers, Assistant Underwriting Managers, and Underwriting Officers.
- Maintain, manage and develop relationships with new/existing corporate clients and brokers.
- Liaise with cross functional departments (reinsurance, claims, actuarial, finance, etc.).
- Underwrite good quality risks and arrange facultative reinsurance where required.
- Lead negotiations on major deals with Clients and Insurance Brokers.
- Achieve annual department objectives for topline growth and bottom line profitability.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, processes, and audit requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years' experience in multi line product underwriting with major focus on Property & Engineering
- Minimum 10 years in a leadership role managing a team of at least 10 members
- ACII or Dip CII or FIII insurance qualification
- BTech/Engineering graduates preferred
- GCC experience most preferred
- People with less than 7 years' vintage in current organization should not apply

Responsibilities
- Proven experience of running and managing day to day business operations of Property, Engineering & Casualty underwriting.
- Lead a team of Underwriting Managers, Assistant Underwriting Manager, Underwriting officers.
- Maintain, manage and develop relationships with new/existing corporate clients and brokers.
- Liaise with cross functional departments: reinsurance, claims, actuarial, finance, accounts, legal, compliance.
- Good relationship in reinsurance markets with leading reinsurance brokers and underwriters in London, DIFC and Singapore.
- Underwriting of good quality risks including arranging facultative reinsurance and review of policy wordings.
- Assessment of risks and releasing quotations in line with Company's underwriting guidelines.
- Lead negotiations on major deals with Clients and Insurance Brokers.
- Achieve annual department objectives for topline growth and bottom line profitability.
- Ensure compliance with existing underwriting guidelines, processes and audit requirements.
Educational and Technical Qualifications
- BTech/Engineering graduates will be preferred.
- ACII or Dip CII or FIII are the minimum insurance qualification requirement.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in multi line product underwriting with major focus on Property & Engineering.
- Out of total work experience minimum 10 years should be in a leadership role managing a team of at least 10 members.
- Demonstrate ability to manage large portfolios profitably over a significant period.
- People with less than 7 years’ vintage in their current organization should not apply.
- GCC experience most preferred.
Technical Competencies
- Good Underwriting Technical & Marketing Skill.
- Good knowledge of Insurance Products & Services.
- Good experience in handling corporate accounts.
