Lead Machine Learning Engineer - AI Innovation Teams

Education and Communication

• Bachelor's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• A Master's degree or PhD is strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate technical vision and explain complex ML concepts to diverse audiences.

Technology Environment

• The role uses Python, PyTorch, large language models, Docker, Kubernetes or AWS EKS, AWS or Azure, Airflow, and FastAPI.
• The work includes model architecture, deployment patterns, governance, NLP, document intelligence, reasoning systems, and production-scale deployment.

Preferred Experience

• Multi-agent systems, agentic workflows, tool-using AI, or complex AI orchestration platforms are advantageous.
• Advanced cloud-native ML infrastructure and production LLM cost or performance optimization are advantageous.
• Financial services, credit analysis, regulatory, or financial data product knowledge is advantageous.
• Open source contributions, conference speaking, research publication, or practical AI thought leadership are advantageous.

Toronto Compensation

• Expected base pay for the role is between CAD 220,000 and CAD 270,000.
• Actual compensation may vary based on education, training, experience, performance, and other job-related factors.
• Total compensation may also include commissions, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits.
