Role Overview
Lead delivery and application engineering for existing and new electronic applications, particularly HVDC converters and future HVDC grids.
Work with an internationally distributed engineering organization and operate with autonomy under established technical practices.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead small projects and provide key technical direction.
- Generate accurate technical documentation and engineering reports.
- Use technical experience and data analysis to support recommendations.
- Maintain legacy products and manage obsolescence and component lead-time challenges.
- Interface with manufacturers, integrators, suppliers, customers, test laboratories, and global teams.
Technical Expertise
- Apply digital and analogue circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout supervision, and electronic component qualification.
- Use FPGA selection, industrial networks such as Profibus, Ethernet, and PON, and practical electronic bench testing.
- Apply product verification, integration validation, EMC and environmental type testing, and electronic EMC design.
- Use design-for-manufacture, design-for-test, industrialization, and design-to-cost practices.
