Lead Hand Mill

The Mill Lead Hand is responsible for efficiently operating any of the processing plant circuits in one of the two mills, as directed by the Mill Supervisor at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation. This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy.

The position will be on a 7 days on / 7 days off roster with day shift and night shift rotations. This a local role and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario.

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $70,365.92 to $95,200.95 CAD.

Key result areas in this role include:

Fill in for Supervisor during vacation/Leave periods

Safely start up, operate and shutdown all equipment within your area of responsibility

Troubleshoot and correct problems within your area of responsibility.

Train other operators in the plant and partake in training upgrades.

Conduct general clean-up throughout the circuit, reporting potential safety hazards and production problems

Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.

Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.

Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned

Mill Common Core

Strong mechanical aptitude

Refer to Mill Operator Training Matrix for specific unit of operation requirements

Excellent ability to navigate through various computer program screens and applications

Works well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Ability to manage multiple priorities and multi-task
