This is a night shift position. The hours of work are 4:15 PM to 2:15 AM, Monday through Thursday.
Key position functions include:
Assist in the supervision of ATP department to ensure day-to-day duties are being done in accordance with SFI requirements
Work with the Industrial Engineer, Supervisor, ATP Assembly Specialist, and Manager on finding and implementing ways to improve work area efficiency
Work closely with the Supervisor to ensure shop floor personnel tasks are being performed per Stream Flo’s ES’s, QCP’s, WI’s and production travelers
Ensure employees are working safely and always wearing the proper PPE
Train new employees as per the ATP area training plans. Assign qualified mentors for specific task training in coordination with the ATP Supervisor
Maintain all documentation and records with respect to gate valve / wellhead assembly and testing
Report and trouble shoot assembly issues to Supervisor, Manager, Engineering & Quality control
Maintain and update wellhead and gate valve schedules daily with the Manufacturing Coordinator
Schedule or assign scheduling of picking for wellhead and gate valve products, in a timely manner
Assist in production flow through the plant, working with the ATP personnel to find ways on increasing through put
Coordinate all ATP QN’s through the QA & Manufacturing departments
In conjunction with the Supervisor and ATP Assembly Specialist, troubleshoot all ATP QN’s and investigate ways to help reduce or eliminate them. Assist other departments to find resolutions if it involves ATP
Organize and prioritize tasks as needed to perform jobs within pre-established time-management standards and to meet schedules and project timelines
Ensure that tools are used properly and kept in good condition. Help investigate and/or test new tooling, or machines to help production through put
Assist the Supervisor using the FIIX program for equipment / tool repairs and preventative maintenance
Work with the Industrial Engineer, Supervisor, Lead Hand, and Manager on new equipment projects
Maintain basic knowledge of company and department policies, practices, procedures, including but not limited to manufacturing shop rules, measurement or calibration techniques, tools, methods, and operations relevant to the position’s typical assignments
Maintain awareness of and comply with the manufacturing production department’s performance standards, as dictated by the Department Supervisor/Manager
Lead employee(s) in conducting monthly inspections of the ATP area
Help create monthly toolbox minutes in coordination with the ATP Supervisor, ESD, and night shift supervisors and host meetings with ATP personnel
Responsible for the ensuring the upkeep of the ATP area – working with employees on maintaining a clean workspace
When required, build and test products in wellhead and gate valve as needed
Ensure compliance with SFG’s guiding principles, in terms of health & safety, quality and environmental regulations and or policies
Ensure compliance with all applicable standards/procedures
Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:
High School Diploma
Minimum 3 years’ with Gate Valves
5 plus years in a supervisory role with proven ability to lead and direct teams and previous experience with gate valve and wellhead assembly
Strong computer skills and effective paper flow management; knowledge of SAP an asset
Commitment to workplace Health and Safety, quality of work, and overall performance of a team
High mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret drawings and strong knowledge in assembly operations
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Proficient with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and applications
Strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and team skills
Strong leadership skills
Forklift experience
Able & willing to instruct others in the performance of their work, with integrity
Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging environment
Work with minimum supervision
Ability to effectively delegate work
