Job Overview

  • The opening for Senior Fire & Life Safety Consultant requires a highly motivated and experienced individual with strong analytical and creative thinking skills to manage diverse projects workload across ME.
  • This will be a client facing role and therefore a solid technical understanding along with excellent communication and organizational skills are a must.
  • In this role, you will demonstrate experience and passion in Code Consulting, Performance Based Design, and Fire Protection System Design.
  • This role will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for key Jensen Hughes projects in Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East region, for various Fire and Life safety projects including but not limited to performance based design and sensitivity analysis for key infrastructure projects.
  • Conducting code consulting, fire safety drawing reviews and reports in line with the applicable standards.
  • Attending client project & design meetings, managing project expectations and completing the assigned tasks on schedule and within budget.
  • Preparation and presentation of technical reports and
  • Lead and carry out design reviews, participating in various levels of Business Development meetings and presentations with Clients assisting in development of effective business proposals and solutions.
  • Role may involve leading a small team of fire engineers while interacting with multiple stake holders at varied levels.

Requirements And Qualifications

  • A background in fire engineering preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Experience in the following: Tunnel Fire Engineering Analysis, Tunnel Ventilation, Tunnel Structural Fire Resistance, Tunnel Suppression Systems, Tunnel Fuel Loading Controls Strategies, Tunnel Communication Systems, Tunnel Evacuation Strategies, Tunnel Firefighter Intervention.
  • Minimum 15 years of industry experience.
  • Working experience in the Middle East region.
  • Postgraduate qualification within Fire engineering.
  • Ideally working towards becoming a Chartered engineer.
  • The ability to undertake assignments independently.
  • The ability and desire to mentor and manage our young professionals.
