Role Overview
Join the FACTS Solution Line to work on STATCOM and SVC systems that control voltage and reactive power and improve power-system stability.
The position is based in Noida, India, with remote working flexibility, and reports to the Engineering Manager for System Design.
Engineering Responsibilities
- Perform detailed power system studies for STATCOM and FACTS projects.
- Conduct insulation coordination, harmonic analysis and filter design, temporary and transient overvoltage, and switching transient studies.
- Develop and validate simulation models for STATCOM and SVC systems.
- Prepare technical reports, study documents, and customer presentations.
- Coordinate with engineering and commissioning teams and interface with utilities, consultants, and customers for discussions and approvals.
Software Expertise
- Required software includes PSCAD, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, MATLAB-Simulink, and PRSIM.
- Exposure to RTDS, EMTDC, EMTP-RV, or hardware-in-the-loop testing is advantageous.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in power system studies and at least 2 years in STATCOM or FACTS projects.
