Role Overview
Lead control and protection engineering for EHV and HV substations across AIS, GIS, HVDC, FACTS, STATCOM, renewable, onshore, and offshore projects.
Support reliable and efficient power systems while meeting safety, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Coordinate with global engineering centers, regions, business lines, multidisciplinary teams, and project stakeholders.
Engineering Responsibilities
- Prepare SLD, KLD, PSLD, and CRP drawings using Engineering Base, E-Plan, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent tools.
- Design and review IEC 61850 substation automation systems and interconnections.
- Review PLCC and FOTE BOQs and network drawings and interface CRP and SAS with telecom equipment.
- Review AIS and GIS equipment drawings, including circuit breakers, isolators, earth switches, transformers, reactors, and monitoring devices.
- Perform CT and VT sizing calculations.
- Design and review control and power cable engineering.
- Design LV/LT auxiliary systems and interface them with SAS and SCADA.
- Perform and review protection relay application, setting, coordination, and tripping analysis.
- Review power-system load-flow and short-circuit studies.
- Consolidate IO mapping and troubleshoot database issues in SAS and RTU systems.
