Lead Engineer - Mechanical Component

Roles and Responsibilities

1.

Primary Skills: Basic design and calculation of hydro turbine components, piping, and auxiliaries for hydroelectric power station projects.

2.

Nature of Products / Projects: Hydro turbine systems.

3.

Partnership / Collaboration: Work closely with consulting engineers, detail design teams, customers, and cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and site teams.

4.

Daily Responsibility 1: Lead basic design and calculation activities, including sizing of components using analytical calculations and GE Vernova tools, as well as detailed drawing release for the respective packages.

Also responsible for monitoring, controlling, planning, and reviewing these activities.

5.

Daily Responsibility 2: Leverage technical expertise and experience to resolve business problems in collaboration with customers, manufacturing, sourcing, and field support teams.

Drive issue resolution and prompt corrective actions for design-related causes such as NCRs and SDRs.

Lead thorough technical root cause analysis of field failures and identify design-related corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
