Lead Engineer

Hybrid working - based in the office 3 days a week (Holborn, London)

Role Overview: We're hiring a Lead Platform Engineer: a hands-on senior engineer (roughly 80% building, 20% leading) who owns our platform and data foundations and leads our in-house engineering team. Two priorities define the next year: migrating data between our two live production systems, and building the data and analytics foundations behind our quality-risk scoring. Core Responsibilities

Lead architectural decisions across backend, cloud infrastructure and data systems

Own the data model, semantic layer and cross-customer comparability behind our analytics and scoring

Lead the migration between our two live production systems, ensuring integrity and minimal disruption

Move analytics infrastructure onto a server-side foundation

Contribute hands-on to engineering delivery

Lead the in-house team of five and coordinate outsource delivery partners

Sit on the senior leadership team, representing engineering in management decisions
