Role Overview
Lead secondary engineering activities for control and protection, substation automation, interface engineering, telecom requirements, and LV auxiliary systems.
Support EHV and HV substations, including AIS, GIS, HVDC, FACTS, STATCOM, onshore and offshore, and renewable applications.
Coordinate with global engineering centers, regions, business lines, and project workgroups.
Engineering Responsibilities
- Prepare SLD, KLD, PSLD, and CRP drawings for substations up to 400 kV and 765 kV using an E-CAD tool.
- Design and review IEC 61850 substation automation systems and interconnections.
- Review PLCC and FOTE BOQs and network drawings and interface CRP and SAS with telecom equipment.
- Review AIS and GIS equipment drawings, including breakers, isolators, earth switches, transformers, reactors, and monitoring devices.
- Perform CT and VT sizing calculations.
- Design and review control and power cable engineering.
- Design LV/LT auxiliary systems and interface them with SAS and SCADA.
- Perform or review relay settings, coordination, tripping analysis, load-flow studies, and short-circuit studies.
