Role overview

Core responsibilities

• Translate system requirements into firmware architectures and low-level design specifications.
• Lead embedded software design, coding, testing, debugging, integration, and performance optimization.
• Oversee formal design verification and validation activities with firmware test teams.
• Lead reviews of designs, source code, unit test frameworks, and requirements documentation.
• Champion automated unit and regression testing and manage software through release and maintenance.
• Evaluate third-party and open-source components while maintaining cybersecurity compliance.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Nine to twelve years of professional embedded software programming experience.
• Advanced C/C++ skills and in-depth knowledge of microprocessor architectures.
• Hands-on experience with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems.
• Experience with Agile development, automated C/C++ unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking, and peer review.
