Role overview

Roles and responsibilities

• Perform drive and filter sizing, hardware design, loss budget calculations, earth and protection circuit design, arc flash calculations, and root-cause analysis.
• Use calculations, modeling, and simulations to realize product and project requirements.
• Design equipment for reliability, testing, manufacturability, material, and cost requirements.
• Prepare and validate configurations, operating principles, application guidelines, specifications, bills of materials, single-line diagrams, and drawings.
• Verify prototype hardware under specified operating conditions.
• Support manufacturing at factory or vendor facilities.
• Document functional test requirements and conduct testing under applicable UL and IEC standards.
• Conduct project factory acceptance tests and coordinate execution with engineering and project management teams.
• Travel as required.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least 10 years of power electronics design and testing expertise for industrial drives.
