About the Role
Wasco seeks a Lead Electrical & Instrument Engineer to oversee E-house and process module projects for oil and gas. The role requires 15+ years of experience, leadership, and expertise in international standards.

Responsibilities
- Interpret and manage specific technical requirements for assigned projects (E houses and Process Modules), ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Prepare E&I design bases according to project specifications, applying international standards (IEC, NEC, NFPA, etc.) and class requirements (DNV, ABS, BV, etc.)
- Oversee, review, and verify complex design calculations to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards
- Ensure correct equipment selection based on hazardous area classifications and provide technical expertise in designing switchgears
- Lead, mentor, and direct a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure timely delivery of high quality project outputs
- Develop and implement engineering resource plans and monitor allocated engineering hours and resources
- Prepare detailed Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for major electrical and instrumentation equipment packages
- Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs) for sub vendor technical offers
- Track, document, and manage variations from the original contract scope and initiate Variation Orders (VOs)
- Review project specifications, raise Requests for Information (RFIs), and manage technical queries with clients
- Attend project progress meetings and cascade critical project information to the engineering team
- Provide hands on engineering support for bid evaluations, yard construction, FAT, and SAT
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or instrumentation engineering
- Minimum 15 years of cumulative experience in E&I engineering within the oil and gas sector
- Excellent leadership skills to manage a team
- Knowledge of oil & gas plants, substations, E houses, process modules, and FPSO functionality
- Proficient in E&I related software such as CAD, ETAP, Navisworks, Smart Instrument, and lighting calculations
