Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the comprehensive editorial strategy aligned with the Institute’s research priorities and institutional voice
- Review, edit, and fact check all written outputs for accuracy, clarity, coherence, style, and impact
- Propose and commission timely publications related to relevant regional and global developments
- Lead and manage all aspects of editorial projects, including partnerships, residencies, and working groups
- Lead and manage fellowships at the Institute as it relates to editorial output
- Maintain high editorial standards across all publications, ensuring factual accuracy and intellectual integrity
- Implement the editorial and priorities calendar, including timely production and release of published content across formats
- Guide and lead internal and external researchers and fellows to enhance narrative quality and policy relevance
- Manage the editorial workflow and coordinate with researchers, communications staff, and external contributors
- Supervise freelance editors, translators, and graphic designers where needed
- Lead style and editorial guide development with regular updates
- Proactively identify and commission guest contributors, including academics, policymakers, and practitioners
Requirements
- Experience in editorial leadership and content development
- Strong editing and fact checking skills
- Knowledge of international affairs and foreign policy
- Ability to manage editorial workflows and mentor junior editors
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site role located in Dubai for a Lead Editor/Editorial Lead (International Affairs & Foreign Policy).
- The Lead Editor will oversee the development, editing, and publication of research documents, reports, and articles, ensuring content quality and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Responsibilities include managing editorial workflows, collaborating with researchers and writers, enforcing content guidelines, and ensuring the timely delivery of publications.
- The role also involves mentoring junior editors, maintaining consistency in tone and style, and coordinating with design teams for publication layout.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & maintain the comprehensive editorial strategy aligned with the Institute’s research priorities and institutional voice
