This is a leadership role combining technical drafting, team management, and approval responsibility for architectural interiors and interior fit-out projects.

The role is based in Dubai, UAE, and is office-based.
Work Schedule
- Full-time position with working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, six days a week.
Client and Industry
The confidential client is an interior fit-out and architectural solutions company delivering commercial and residential projects across the UAE.
The business provides bespoke joinery, turnkey fit-out solutions, and customized architectural finishes.
The industry includes interior fit-out, architectural interiors, joinery, and carpentry.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve shop drawings, joinery details, and production packages before issuance.
- Lead, mentor, and manage draftsmen while allocating drawing packages across active projects.
- Set drafting standards, layer conventions, and drawing quality benchmarks.
- Coordinate with Interior Designers and 3D Visualizers to translate concepts into buildable technical packages.
- Review BOQs, material takeoff lists, and hardware schedules.
- Oversee site measurement and verification of structural and MEP conditions.
- Resolve clashes between architectural, MEP, and structural drawings before fabrication or site execution.
- Manage client feedback, consultant comments, revisions, and version control.
- Ensure submissions comply with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, and landlord design criteria.
- Act as the escalation point for complex detailing issues and support recruitment and onboarding.
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD drafting and detailing for interior fit-out and architectural work is required.
- Seven to ten or more years of hands-on drafting experience in interior fit-out and architectural detailing is required.
- At least two years of lead, supervisory, or team-management experience over draftsmen is required.
- Experience producing and reviewing complex shop drawings and joinery production packages is required.
- Strong knowledge of fit-out construction methods, materials, joinery fixings, and site installation practices is required.
- Advanced ability to read and cross-reference structural, architectural, and MEP drawings is required.
- A portfolio showing personal drafting output and team-led project packages is required.
- Revit or BIM knowledge is strongly preferred.
- A diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field is listed as a qualification.
- UAE fit-out contractor or joinery manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage concurrent projects and competing team deadlines is required.
Selection Process
- The process includes application review, a technical and leadership interview, an AutoCAD drafting and drawing-review assessment, and a final client interview.
- Applicants are expected to provide a CV and sample drawing portfolio, including team-led or reviewed work.
