Lead DevOps Engineer

Participate in high-impact, high-complexity projects, collaborating across Engineering, Security, and DevOps teams to drive architectural and operational improvements for our cloud infrastructure.

Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and system configurations on AWS to support Care.com’s services.

Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to provide escalation support around deployment tooling and workflows.

Mentor junior engineers and facilitate training sessions on the operational and architectural aspects of the Care.com platform.

Author and maintain high-quality documentation for our infrastructure and architectural standards.

5+ years working with infrastructure as code and/or configuration management tools, receiving and providing code reviews (we use Ansible, Terraform, CDK).

Comfort with configuring, diagnosing and living on a Linux command line.

Experience with CI/CD toolchains and automation (we use Jenkins, Harness, GitHub, JFrog/Artifactory/X-Ray, and SonarQube.

Strong understanding of the AWS cloud platform, kubernetes, and Hashicorp Vault.

Strong written communication skills and comfort with chat tools (e.g. Slack) as a primary means of communication.

Familiarity with SaaS observability platforms (we use Signalfx, Splunk).

Solid Python and Bash programming skills.

Ability to work independently on projects and deliver them on time.
