Lead Design Engineer- Electrical

Lead and manage a team of design engineers and technical specialists.

Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and accountability.

Work closely with civil & secondary (protection & control) design teams.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and vendors for technical clarifications.

Provide engineering support during procurement, manufacturing, and installation phases.

Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and performance standards.

Conduct design reviews and risk assessments.

Support factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).

Provide technical guidance during construction, erection, and commissioning.

Resolve site-related design issues and propose corrective actions.

Participate in project progress reviews and ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD tools.

Familiarity with ETAP, or similar power system analysis software.

Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, IS, and utility standards.

Understanding of GIS (Gas Insulated Substation) and AIS (Air Insulated Substation) technologies.

Understanding of underground EHV Cables & accessories.

10–12 years of experience in design engineering of EHV substations (132kV, 220kV, 400kV, or higher). Hands-on experience with primary equipment design and layout.
