Role Overview
Thomson Reuters Legal is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to support data-driven growth and adoption of AI-enabled legal solutions.
The role focuses on predictive models, including propensity-to-upgrade models, that identify customers likely to expand into AI products such as CoCounsel.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain predictive models for customer expansion, engagement scoring, and propensity to upgrade.
- Use behavioral, usage, firmographic, and lifecycle data to identify signals of AI adoption and expansion readiness.
- Partner with Lifecycle Marketing to create actionable segments and testable customer lifecycle hypotheses.
- Work with Marketing Operations to activate and measure models in the Treasure Data customer data platform.
- Develop features and datasets from product usage, campaign engagement, learning activity, and customer attributes.
- Validate, monitor, and improve model performance, accuracy, explainability, and alignment with business outcomes.
- Define experimentation metrics, analyze lift, and interpret results to guide optimization.
- Document modeling methods, assumptions, and outputs for transparency and reuse.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Commercial teams on data quality and outcomes.
