Be Accountable Required Experience • 7+ years of overall IT experience with a strong focus on Data Warehousing and Data Lake solutions. • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale Data Warehouse and DataLake architectures. • Strong experience working with cloud-based database platforms in AWS and/or Azure environments. • 4+ years of experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL database administration, development, and performance optimization. • Experience with MongoDB, Document DB, or other document-oriented databases. Technical Skills • Deep understanding of Data Warehouse modeling concepts, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, dimensional modeling, and data governance best practices. • Strong expertise in SQL query tuning, performance optimization, indexing strategies, partitioning, and database troubleshooting. • Solid understanding of database infrastructure, scalability, high availability, backup/recovery, security, and capacity planning. • Experience designing and implementing standardized database frameworks, governance models, and best practices across enterprise platforms. • Hands-on experience with Liquibase or similar tool for database version control, schema deployment, and change management. • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines for database and data platform deployments using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar. • Experience with cloud-native database services on AWS and/or Azure. Preferred Qualifications • Experience defining enterprise database standards, reusable frameworks, and automation processes. • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, etc.) is a plus. • Experience working with large-scale data platforms supporting analytics and reporting workloads. • Understanding of database monitoring, observability, and cost optimization in cloud environments. Soft Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. • Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive database modernization and standardization initiatives. Education • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
