Role Overview
At Moniepoint, as an Analytics Manager, you will use data to make better decisions, faster for the business. You will own metrics, measurement, experimentation and the analysis/data roadmap for a business area. You’ll use data to quantify business KPIs and conduct analyses to uncover unknowns, helping the business unit achieve its goals for acquisition, conversion, activation, retention, and revenue. As a leader of the business unit, the role sits at the intersection of product management, data engineering, and growth.
What you’ll do
Strategic Leadership: Build a disciplined, exceptional analytical team. Develop and execute a comprehensive data and analytics roadmap and strategy
Team Building & Management: Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of analytics professionals
Data Insights & Analytics - including forecast building, business analysis and model development and productionisation. Drive the generation of actionable insights from data to support various business functions, including product, operations, marketing and engineering. What is our actual CAC per channel? Which customer segments are more/less engaged? What are our customers’ share of wallet - how can we use this? What is the typical behaviour of a Moniepoint consumer? What products cause the biggest incremental engagement?
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with growth, product, and engineering managers to ensure we collect the right data for meaningful business insights. Bring data leadership and rigour to our approach to product development. Build a strategic understanding of the business and structure complex projects to bring them to life.
Business: Growth
Create and maintain the yearly forecast and budget for your products.
Define the product's growth plan and lead execution across the entire funnel from acquisition through to monetisation and retention
Own and optimise specific business metrics or commercial goals, covering the entire funnel from new user acquisition through conversion, activation, retention, and expansion
Perform detailed product analysis covering the product management funnel with all its aspects, implementing changes into the buying funnel to improve conversion
Design and execute A/B testing programs to optimise sales and conversion rates/adoption at each funnel stage
Lead testing and optimisation efforts for the conversion funnel across offline and online channels, prioritising tests that drive the biggest business impact
Improve the product's design and deploy experiments to improve lifetime value (LTV) and decrease churn
Technical: Data & Analytics
Use deep, flexible, and comprehensive analytics covering the entire funnel from marketing acquisition to product usage
Analyse user behaviour to improve the sales funnel and increase conversions, using advanced analytics to assess campaign performance and refine strategies
Define and track growth metrics including customer acquisition cost (CAC), activation rate, retention rate, payback time, and revenue per customer
Conduct cohort analysis and journey mapping to identify bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities
What you need to succeed
+5 years in Analytics and Analytics Management.
2+ years in a management role managing teams and driving strategic initiatives
Proven track record in a consumer-FMCG environment, preferably in a CPG or fintech environment
Deep experience scaling product businesses, with demonstrated ownership of significant revenue targets

- Deep SQL knowledge.
- Proficiency in product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Grafana, Tableau, Looker, etc)
- Deep understanding of data analytics, user behaviour analysis and segmentation
- Leadership & Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills to interact with teams, stakeholders, and users through verbal presentations, written reports, and visual media
- Proven ability to build, mentor, and scale high-performing product teams
- Expertise in data analytics tools and digital marketing platforms with the ability to manage and mentor teams of marketers, analysts, and designers
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness and business acumen
