Role Overview
Lead and manage the architectural technical team across multiple projects.
Oversee architectural technical delivery from tender review through construction and handover.
Ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, allocate work to, and mentor technical architects, architectural technical engineers, and draftsmen.
- Review IFC, tender, design development, and shop drawings.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings, specifications, BOQs, and site conditions.
- Review architectural material submittals, samples, technical data, and compliance certificates.
- Review technical aspects of suppliers' quotations, including alternatives and exclusions.
- Oversee RFIs and technical queries, follow up approvals, and escalate critical issues.
- Provide site technical support and support inspections, snagging, as-built documentation, and handover.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
- Identify variations and assess design changes.
- Enforce QA/QC standards, resolve NCRs and site observations, and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain technical registers, document traceability, and reporting on submissions and approvals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
- 10–15 years of professional architectural experience, preferably in contracting, construction, fit-out, or design-and-build.
- At least 3–5 years in a senior or lead technical architectural position.
- Experience leading technical architectural teams, managing multiple projects, and coordinating with project stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of architectural finishing materials and systems.
- Excellent AutoCAD knowledge and ability to review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
- Good Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Strong leadership, technical judgment, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to technical risks and quality.
Preferred Skills
- Professional registration or accreditation is preferred.
- GCC or Qatar project experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with high-end residential, villas, hospitality, commercial, and fit-out projects is advantageous.
