Lead Actuarial Data Scientist

• Work regularly with executive staff on critical business issues, providing insights and solutions that support strategic priorities
• Ability to translate complex data into compelling executive-level presentations
• Communicate and influence decision-making across multiple functional areas on results of studies and analytics
• Ability to delegate and direct individuals supporting individual projects and hold a high standard of quality in the work produced by the individuals

• FCAS/ACAS mandatory
• 8+ years of experience in a variety of actuarial domains, especially pricing
• Familiarity with small commercial P&C insurance products
• Comfortable using AI platforms to accelerate delivery and augment work products
• Experience applying machine learning techniques to actuarial pricing
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence
• Comfortable working across time zones and countries
• Project management experience, people management experience a plus
• Ability to manage and lead in a fast paced environment

• Experience coding with SQL/R/Python
• Machine Learning Algorithms and Feature Engineering
• Data visualization in Tableau, PowerBi, or similar
• Experience in actuarial software platforms such as Akur8 or Radar
• Forward thinking approach to leveraging AI platforms (such as Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT) to drive operational efficiencies
