Laundry Assistant

• The Gardens at York Terrace is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility in Pottsville, PA. This position plays an important role in ensuring residents receive clean, properly cared-for linens and personal clothing while maintaining a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Position Details

Responsibilities

• Place soiled facility and resident personal linen into washing machines • Fold, hang, transport, and distribute resident personal laundry to resident rooms • Hang clothing in closets and place clothing in drawers as needed • Sort, wash, dry, and organize laundry according to facility procedures • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area • Follow infection control, safety, and laundry handling procedures • Assist with linen inventory and distribution throughout the facility

Qualifications

• Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, cleaning, maintenance, or a related field preferred • Familiarity with laundry equipment, cleaning materials, and safety procedures • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Must be at least 18 years of age
