Landscape Inspector (Buildings Project)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections of landscape and external works for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Inspect softscape and hardscape works, including planting, irrigation, paving, kerbs, planters, and outdoor features.
• Monitor installation of trees, shrubs, ground covers, turf, soil, mulch, and other planting materials.
• Inspect irrigation pipelines, valves, sprinklers, drip irrigation, and related components.
• Verify site-delivered materials against approved submittals, samples, and specifications.
• Monitor workmanship and compliance with approved method statements and inspection procedures.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other disciplines to resolve site issues.
• Review inspection requests and witness testing and commissioning activities.
• Identify defective or non-compliant works and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection and quality records, monitor progress, and report delays or technical concerns.
• Coordinate landscape interfaces with civil, architectural, MEP, and other site teams.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, HSE, project specification, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant landscape inspection or supervision experience.
• Strong experience in landscape construction, softscape, hardscape, and irrigation works.
• Previous UAE experience is highly preferred.
• Consultancy supervision experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of drawings, specifications, method statements, material submittals, and inspection procedures.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality requirements and UAE construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape drawings and technical specifications.
• Good communication, coordination, reporting, and site inspection skills.
