As long as you are eager and willing to learn, we will provide training to teach you how to excel as a Lagger.

• Pipecoverers (Laggers) work with fiberglass, calcium silicate, PVC Nitrile rubber, barium sulfate, and all standard lagging coverings and provide anti-sweat, personnel protection, thermal and acoustic insulation treatments on all piping systems and major shipboard components as required by plan
• Uses chicken wire and high temperature cement to provide a hard covering on some insulation materials and sews various coverings on other treatments
• Able to interpret drawings and insulation schedules as necessary to complete assigned work
• Work conditions may include entry into restricted and confined spaces
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, blueprints, diagrams, and perform basic layout functions
• Must be willing to work road assignments and work in Radiological areas of the boat
• Must be able to work all shifts
• Must be available to work overtime assignments as required
• Will be required to possess your own basic hand tools
• Must be able to obtain and maintain as US Dept. of Defense SECRET Clearance
