Role Overview
Supports daily vehicle dismantling and recycling operations at the Sudbury yard.
Performs hands-on work involving automobiles, vehicle parts, tools, batteries, and outdoor yard operations.
Responsibilities
- Dismantle and depollute vehicles safely using hand tools and power tools.
- Prepare vehicles for resale or display in the yard.
- Dismount wheels, rims, and tires.
- Clean, test, and sort batteries for resale.
- Sort and organize salvaged parts for inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard and work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in general labour or a similar role is required.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift 50 pounds are required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools is required.
- Reliability and willingness to learn different areas of the business are required.
- Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions is required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wage is $20 per hour plus a semi-annual bonus of up to 3.75%.
