The Opportunity
Fraser International Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Labour Relations Advisor for a large established organization in Surrey, British Columbia.
The role provides strategic and operational HR support to leaders across a complex unionized workforce.
Approximately 60–70 percent of the position focuses on labour and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise managers, directors, and operational leaders on HR and labour relations matters.
- Interpret collective agreements, organizational policies, employment legislation, and HR practices.
- Manage grievances and conduct complex workplace investigations.
- Guide progressive discipline, performance management, termination, accommodation, and return-to-work matters.
- Support mediation, arbitration preparation, labour-management meetings, and collective bargaining.
- Prepare case strategies, investigation summaries, briefing notes, and management recommendations.
- Partner with unions and HR specialists to resolve concerns and improve HR programs and processes.
- Support workforce planning, restructuring, job redesign, position evaluation, and leadership effectiveness.
