Perform concrete cylinder testing in accordance with applicable industry standards and laboratory procedures to support quality construction outcomes.
Generate accurate and reliable testing data that supports engineering evaluations, project compliance, and client reporting.
Coordinate the receiving, logging, labeling, tracking, storage, and organization of laboratory samples across multiple material types.
Collaborate with laboratory staff, field personnel, and project teams to ensure samples are processed efficiently and priorities are met.
Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration schedules, and housekeeping standards to support safe and effective operations.
Support quality management initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement activities within the laboratory environment.
Identify and communicate discrepancies, testing issues, and non-conformances to support quality and operational excellence.
Contribute to a strong safety culture by following established health and safety procedures and promoting safe work practices.
1 to 5 years of experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally with concrete materials testing experience.
Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Materials Testing, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
Knowledge of CSA, ASTM, and other standardized laboratory testing procedures.
CCIL Concrete Laboratory Certification is considered an asset but is not required.
Experience managing samples, documentation, and laboratory workflow in a fast-paced environment.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with accurate data entry capabilities.
